The Lawn Care Guide

Lawn Sweepers

There are cheaper ways of removing debris from your lawn than by investing in one of the models of lawn vacuums. There are lawn sweepers you can by and a regular carpet sweeper will do the job well if you only have a small lawn. However, this is a lot of work and you will probably need something more efficient and less backbreaking. A leaf blower is also a type of sweeper that will blow all the debris off the lawn. You do need to have a central location for gathering the debris because then you will have to sweep it up and dispose of it.

You do need to consider the size of your lawn and whether or not you have any trees or shrubs. This is because the volume of air that blows out may harm your plants. For small areas where there are a lot of trees and small shrubs, you should look at a model that does not have a high force to the air. You also need to look at the weight of the blower because you do have to hold it when using it. Many of these models have a reverse option so that you can route the debris into a collection bag.

Normally, these lawn devices have an electric motor, which makes them very quiet. This type of blower is good for small areas, so if your lawn is large, you might want to look at the gas-powered models. Of course, these are also heavier and more expensive. While an electric model costs about $65 US, a gas powered model costs a lot more - about $500.

You can also get a leaf blower with vacuum capacity. This device is easy to use, comes with a shoulder strap and is perfect for most lawns.
